Abstract

1,223,544. Glazing. H. & A. SUPPLY CO. Ltd. 20 Feb.;.1 1969 [20. Feb.,. 1968], No.9186/ 69. Heading E1R. A combined molding and means for retaining a closure member, such as a panel or pane of glass 12 comprises a transverse web 40, an abutment member 44 for the pane 12 and projecting from one face of the web 40, a resilient leg 47 projecting from the same face of the web at an angle less than 90‹ to engage the pane and urge it towards the abutment 44 and a pair of resilient wings 51, 53, at least one of which extends at an angle less than 90‹ with the web for securing the molding to the wall of a window aperture 10 to provide a framework for the pane 12. The member 44 may have a head 46 and may be located at the end of the web and may be inclined at an angle of less than 90‹ to the web. The leg 47 may be joined to the web by a male or female joint and the web may have a central portion joined to the end portions by male and female joints.
