Abstract

697,580. Windows. KLATTE, T., [trading as KLATTE METALLWARENFABRIK, T.] Nov. 20, 1951 [Nov. 30, 1950; Nov. 30, 1950; Nov. 30, 19501, No. 27220/51. Class 20(iii) Window frames, sashes &c. are built up from hollow and preferably oval, or rectangular, profile members produced from hardenable artificial resin by the extrusion press method, the profile members being cut to the desired length and joined together by spigots having thickened portions to match the surrounding frame profile members. Profiles having different external contours are joined by spigots 20, Fig. 3, which form a transition from one profile form to the other. A window frame 10, Fig. 1, has a groove 14 to fasten it to a wall and to receive a window board, not shown, the sash profiles being provided with thickened abutment surfaces 17, 18, glazing rebates 15, and a drip lip 19.
