Abstract

1,119,344. Lampholders. PRESSAC Ltd. 27 Oct., 1965 [5 Nov., 1964], No. 45113/64. Heading H2E. An electric lampholder comprises a hollow casing 1 housing an insulating bush 3, having at one end a recessed seat 6, with a shaped aperture 7, for a centre bulb contact, such that a shaped bulb contact 12, Fig. 5, secured to a conductor wire, may be inserted through the rear of the bush and apertured seat, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown), and rotated through 90 degrees and be held by the seat against withdrawal. The major and minor axes of the centre bulb contact head 12 lie in the same plane as the contact seat 6 when seated. The shank 11 of the centre bulb contact is crimped on to the conductor wire 16 and has a flared end 13 which snaps into the base 5 of the resilient bush. The conductor wire may be soldered directly on to the centre bulb contact head 12.
