Abstract

1,061,537. Lampholders. PRESSAC Ltd. Oct. 27, 1965 [Nov. 5, 1964], No. 45114/64. Heading H2E. An electric lampholder comprises a hollow casing 1 housing an insulating bush 3, having a recess 14 at one end for a centre bulb contact and a threaded bore 8, such that a centre contact with thread - engaging means 11, e.g. a head circularly flared, radially slit and bent into a helical shape, Fig. 4 (not shown), may be screwed, through the rear of the bush into a contact-making position. Alternatively a cruciform with four prongs helically disposed Fig. 5 (not shown), may be used. The shank 10 of the centre contact is crimped to the wire 13 and has a flared end 12 which snaps into the base of the resilient bush which thus retains it.
