Abstract

1,116,139. Lamp caps and holders. H. F. HEYDEN. 7 Nov., 1966 [10 Dec., 1965], No. 49726/66. Heading H2E. [Also in Division F4] A battery-operated decorative candle lamp is switched on and off by rotating the bulb 15 in its socket 23 so that an eccentric flange 27 forming one contact of the bulb is moved into and out of engagement with a conducting strip 25. The socket 23 is mounted in a housing 14 forming the upper part of the simulated candle, the lower part 13 being set in a decorative base (11 not shown) and containing a conductive battery casing 16, and the strip 25 makes contact with the threaded upper part 17 of the battery casing when the housing 14 is screwed thereon. The other contact 29 of the bulb is rotatably received in a receptacle 22 having an axial conductor 24 which engages the centre terminal of the battery 19.
