Abstract
1,115,510. Agitators. SOC. DES FORGES ET ATELIERS DU CREUSOT. 14 March, 1966 [31 March, 1965], No. 11109/66. Heading B1C. An autoclave has at least one agitator 3 the drive shaft 4 of which is carried in a bearing 5 mounted in a bearing box 6 rotatable about an axis which makes an angle other than zero with the axis of the drive shaft, whereby the angle of the shaft and hence the agitation effect can be varied. The agitator may be driven through universal joints 13, 14 and a telescopic shaft 15, 16 from a reduction gearbox 12 resting on the ground. The bearing box may be locked in position by screws (11), see Fig. 2, (not shown).
