Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-A fuel-injection nozzle is provided with a recess 5 for starting fuel so situated that the injection air can displace and atomize the fuel. The air is directed on to the fuel by passing through crossing grooves 3, Fig. 1, on the conical surface of the valve-spindle guide 1, or the guide may have a baffle 11, Fig. 2, for directing the air into the recess 5.
