Abstract

1,072,600. Air-conditioning units. AB BAHCO. Oct. 12, 1965 [Oct. 14, 1964], No. 43275/65. Heading F4V. An induction unit comprises a primary air conduit 1 provided with upwardly directed nozzles 10, a finned tube heat exchanger 2 supported on conduit 1 and provided with heating or cooling medium by pipes 3, and a perforate plate 12 in conduit 1 beneath the nozzles. The plate is stated to reduce the turbulence of, and hence the noise produced by, the primary air. The segment-shaped openings between the ends of the plate and the wall of conduit 1 are closed by unperforated plates. Nozzles 10 comprise frusto-conical apertures in blocks 6, the latter being provided with grooves (11) (Fig. 3, not shown) by which the blocks are held in apertures in the conduit 1.
