Abstract

1,065,594. Fluent fuel furnaces. K. PEREDI. April 27, 1964 [May 2. 1963], No. 17329/64. Heading F4B. Oil or fuel gas is gasified or partly burned in a reaction chamber 31 and fed through a distribution chamber to separate outlets 36 opening directly into a combustion chamber. Secondary air is fed to separate outlets 34a, 34b from plenum chambers 33a, 33b and flue gases may be recirculated or other tempering gases to the reaction chamber 31 or direct to the combustion chamber. The composition and quantity of gas from the outlets 36 and the quantity of air from the outlets 34a, 34b can be controlled, and the arrangement of the series of outlets can be such that suitable atmospheres and temperature distributions are obtained in boiler furnaces, with uncooled or cooled combustion chamber walls, enamelling ovens, tunnel kilns, lime kilns or other industrial furnaces, some of which are illustrated in the Specification.
