Abstract

1,064,878. Pivots. EKCO PRODUCTS CO. Aug. 25, 1965, No. 36582/65. Heading E2F. To maintain a proper register between the edges of a folding door and a door frame a support member for a lower hinge pin 20 on the door comprises a central nylon slide 28 adjustable to selected positions in a direction perpendicular to the pivot axis by manually turning a toothed shaft 32 which engages a downwardly depending toothed section 37 of an extension 31 of the slide and locates in cavities in the side walls 27 of the support member. The slide is locked in position by passing screws (43) through cavities (39), Fig. 2 (not shown), in the walls 27 to engage a nut 42 in a recess 41 in the slide parallel to the shaft. A hole 28 for the pin 20 is elongated along the slide length at 28a to facilitate opening and closing of the door.
