Abstract
602,274. Stays for windows; hinges. SAMBROOK, A., and SAMBROOK, J. Sept. 27, 1946, No. 22559/45. [Classes 65 (i) and 65 (ii)] [Also in Group X] A hinge of the type comprising a long link E and a short link J pivoted to a window A at G and M and to the frame B at F and K respectively, the longer link being furthest from the hinged edge and the links being adapted to fold over the inner surface of the window when the latter is closed, is characterised in that the shorter link is adapted to abut the transverse face a of the hinged edge of the window and thus to form a stop for the latter in its open position. In a modification a screwed stud secured to the longer link passes through a curved slot in a part to which the said link is pivoted, the slot being concentric to the respective pivot axis, while a wing nut screwed on the stud serves to clamp the window in any desired position.
