500,462. Stays for hinged doors. MAIN, Ltd., R. & A., TAYLOR, R., and FORSHAW, A. May 5, 1938, No. 13491. [Class 65 (i)] A stay 23 for a hinged door 13 is pivoted at one end 22 to the door to one side of the hinge axis 12 so as to swing about an axis parallel to that of the hinge, and has at its other end a pin 24 slidable in a guide-way 18 on the door frame 10 extending across the door opening transverse to the hinge axis. A movable abutment 27 is provided in the guide-way between the pin 24 and the hinge to hold the stay in any desired position. An abutment 29 on the door or stay limits the maximum opening of the door.
