725,150. Stays. HEYNE, P. L. Jan. 12,1953, No. 924/53. Class 65 (1). A stay 1 attached at one end to a fanlight 2 and provided with apertures 6-8 for engagement with a pin 11 on the frame 3 to hold the window in selected open positions is curved at its free end in the form of an elongated S so that in any position no portion of the stay projects beyond the inside of the frame. A recess 10 in one side of the frame permits the fanlight to be locked in the closed position by engagement of the aperture 8 with a second pin 12 fixed on the frame. In the form shown the stay 1 is universally connected to the fanlight by a member 4 hinged to it and to a lug on the fanlight; in a modification the member 4 has an eye loosely engaging a staple on the fanlight. The stay-bar may be of #-section in the region of the apertures 6-8. It is provided with a knob 9.
