519,701. Stays for hinged doors. SCHONITZER. R. 1. Sept. 28, 1938, No. 28199. [Class 65 (i)] A stay for the doors cf motor cars &c. comprises a bar 13 pivoted to th door at 16 and passing between resilient guide rollers 50 in a casing fitted to the body 11. The stay has one or more projections 28 which after passing the rollers, coact with the rollers to hold the door in open position. The end of the stay carries a rubber &c. buffer 23 to limit the opening of the door. In another form, the rollers 50 are mounted in slidable bearings acted on by the springs &c. In another form, the stay has a series of projections 28, providing a series of positions at which the door may be held open.
