Abstract

584,316. Windows. FISHER, F. E. July 2, 1944, No. 10586. [Class 20 (iii)] [Also in Group XXV] In a fanlight or casement window pivoted at two opposed edges on arms hinged to the window frame so that it can be reversed for cleaning, the hinged arms each comprise a short section 3 pivoted to an arm 2 extending from the frame so that the window, when open, is spaced therefrom, and a long section 4 pivoted to the window 1 which can thereby turn through 180', a releasable catch (not shown) being provided for locking the section 4 to the window. The window' frame may be of metal and an additional intermediate metal hinge may be used. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 23548/01, [Class 20], and U.S.A. Specification 1,828,021.
