1,062,992. Display boxes; shrink wrapped packages. BAKELITE-XYLONITE Ltd. Jan. 7, 1966 [Jan. 7, 1965], No. 684/65. Headings B8C and B8P. A display box is erected from a flat blank comprising a rectangular central panel 1 having side panels 2, 3 and end panels 4-6, each side panel having a box outer wall section 2 and an inner, compartment framing section 3 of greater width, each section 3 having at each end a flap 7 which is foldable into a four-sided sleeve, Fig. 4 (not shown), which can be turned in to extend half way across the width of the central panel to serve as a box end reinforcement. Each end panel is foldable to embrace the corresponding inturned sleeves of the side parts, and the various folded parts have means to releasably interlock with adjacent parts, e.g. tongues and slots 13, 14, and 15, 12, see also Fig. 4 (not shown). An article supporting card 17, Fig. 2, (not shown), may be inserted to overlie the bottom panel and has tabs 18 which engage the bottom edges of the inclined framing sections 3. The bottom panel may be scored or cut at 20 to provide rear access flaps. The box may be shrink wrapped.
