Abstract

1,062,932. Two wheeled pedal cycles. MOULTON CONSULTANTS Ltd. Oct. 21, 1963 [Oct. 19, 1962], No. 41505/63. Addition to 907,467. Heading B7E. A collapsible cycle having small 12-19 inches diameter wheels and the frame configuration shown in Fig. 1, comprises front forks resiliently and telescopically housed in a head tube 2, Fig. 2, and rear fork arms 62, Fig. 5, pivoted at 61 and having an arcuate bridging member 64 to which is fixed a rubber spring 65 which in turn is fixed to a curved plate 66 on the backbone 1. The cycle is collapsible as shown in Fig. 7, and a longitudinal section through the seat tube 3, Fig. 4, shows the backbone 1 dimpled at 71 to contain the crank housing 20 which is supported by a rearwardly extending bracket member 74 brazed both to the backbone 1 and to ears 72 depending from the tube 3 (see also Fig. 3, not shown). The frame members are pop riveted together or joined by welding, brazing or adhesive, or by combinations of these fixings.
