Abstract

587,645. Tricycles. BURNS, J. J., and RUBEN, B. Dec. 16, 1944, No. 25302. [Class 136 (iii)] A frame member 10 for a child's tricycle comprises a seat position 11 pivoted at its forward end to a steering fork 19 and having at its rear end two -downwardly and rearwardly extending channel section legs 12 adapted to carry an axle 22 of the rear wheels. The forward end of the seat member 10 has a closure plate 15 secured to a bracket 16 provided with lugs 17 carrying a pivot pin 18 whereby the frame is attached to the steering fork 19. The upper part of the steering fork 19 is made of two lengths of channel-section metal placed one inside the other and carries handle bars 24 extending through the channels and welded thereto. The lower part of the steering fork comprises a pair of fork members 25 secured by bolts 26 to the upper part.
