Abstract

689,793. Windscreens for motor-cycles. METAL & PLASTIC COMPACTS, Ltd. June 25, 1951 [May 24, 1950], No. 12971/50. Class 136 (i) A windscreen 23 is attached to a motorcycle which has telescopic forks and a steering head comprising an upper yoke 7 secured to the outer fixed fork tubes, 1, 3 by bolts 35, 37 and two rearwardly extending arms 9, 11 secured to the handlebars 13 by clamping brackets 15, 17 and bolts 19, 21, the windscreen being secured to the steering head by means of the bolts 35, 37 and 19, 21. Struts 25, 27 are secured to the front of the windscreen and are attached to a pair of plates 31, 33 which are secured to the fork tubes I, 3 by the yoke bolts 35, 37. A U-shaped strut 29 is secured to the back of the windscreen and is provided with a pair of U-shaped clips 39, 41 each having a hole through which one of the handlebar clamp bolts 19, 21 passes.
