Apparatus for drying ceramic goods 23, 24 carried on trolleys 25 comprises drying tunnels positioned in parallel in a common housing 10 and supplied with air from a common circulating fan and heater 15 through cavities 18 in the roofs and walls of the tunnel which is introduced on to the goods through sets of nozzles 26 ... 30 which are adjustable to adjust the flow rate of the air running therethrough. The nozzles are spaced so that as the goods move stepwise, they register with the respective nozzles between steps.
