Abstract

1,159,711. Pottery drier. VICTORIA HEATING & VENTILATING CO. Ltd. 23 May, 1967 [27 May, 1966], No. 23904/66. Heading F4G. Apparatus for drying ceramic ware comprises a first chamber 10 in the upper part of a housing through which housing moulds 15 carrying the ware are conveyed beneath nozzles 30 in a duct 25 in step-by-step manner by a conveyer 14 from an inlet 11 to an outlet (not shown) in the same wall of the housing. The air passing from the nozzles is recirculated by flowing through a heater 21 in a second, lower chamber 20 and passing via a fan 34 through a duct 32 into the duct 25. The nozzles may be adjustable in height relative to the ware and an outlet 40 to atmosphere in the chamber 10 may have valve means therein.
