Abstract

1357162 Laundry dryers F W GRANTHAM 19 April 1971 [4 March 1970] 41680/73 Divided out of 1357161 Heading F4G Laundry goods 60 are introduced into a tank 272 by a conveyer 278, dried by hot air introduced at the lower end of the tank and carried upwards by the hot air to discharge means at the top of the tank. Dried goods 60 either contact the short conveyer 306 which moves them to the left on to the long conveyer 300 or contact the long conveyer directly which moves them to the right and between the adjacent runs of the two conveyers which carry the goods to a shoot 312. The air in the tank may all pass out of outlets 318 through gauze screens 321 and past valves 320 or may be recirculated in whole or in part through a housing 326 under the control of a valve 332. If an excessive amount of laundry is introduced to the tank it falls on to a sensor 296 which cuts off the heating.
