Abstract
1,102,602. Drying bricks &c. NORDISK VENTILATOR CO. A/S. 2 March, 1965 [4 March, 1964], No. 8950/65. Heading F4G. Apparatus for drying bricks &c. 4 comprises shelves 30 mounted on ribs 1 on the side walls 2 of the drying chamber and ribs 21, 21<SP>1</SP> mounted along the central plane of the chamber to provide a central longitudinal chamber 23 to which air is supplied from a channel 27 above the ceiling 8 of the chamber via longitudinally-spaced vertical channel branches 28 which extend into the chamber 23 and have slots 29 to supply air into the drying compartments 22, 22<SP>1</SP> formed on either side of the chamber 23. The channel 27 is positioned above the chamber intermediate two primary channels 25, 26 supplied with air from the exhaust of a fan 9 at one end of the chamber which channels introduce the air into the chamber at the end remote from the fan adjacent a loading door 5. Supply of make-up air and discharge of saturated air is effected through inlet channel 12 and outlet channels 16, 17. The channel 27 converges in the direction leading away from the blower and the vertical branches 28 taper in the direction of air flow therethrough.
