Abstract

103,040. Sunderland, W. March 18, 1916. Valves closing after predetermined flow.-A waste-preventing valve, of the type actuated by fluid pressure acting on a diaphragm under the control of an auxiliary valve, comprises a diaphragm D clamped between the two parts A, A' of the casing. The lower part of the casing has a side inlet F provided with a valve seat E, a main outlet passage N, M, and an outlet passage P communicating with a passage 0 in the upper part of the casing, which carries a lift valve J adapted to be opened by depressing a push K against the action of a spring L to allow pressure which has leaked into the chamber I through a nipple G in the diaphragm to pass through the passage 0, P to the outlet M. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 12336/03 and 3503/08.
