6759. Purser, A. March 19. [Addition to 6269/11.] Combinations of interdependent valves; valves closing with rush of fluid.-In a valve device for use with compressed air or steam having a plug cock provided internally with a piston valve adapted to close when the pressure in the outlet is abnormally low, as described in the parent Specification, the plug cock is formed with symmetrically-arranged passages so that the automatically-actuated valve operates whichever way the plug cock is opened. In the form illustrated in Fig. 1, the plug of the plug cock has a main passage 20 and duplicate auxiliary passages 13, 14, 16, each of which is adapted to coincide with recesses 17, 18, 19, in the casing when the passage 20 connects the inlet 5 to the outlet 6. To make the passages 14 short, the lower part of the plug is turned out to a slightly larger diameter.
