Abstract

28,112. Mallinson, A. B. Dec. 6. Rotary disk valves, for controlling fluids under low pressures containing solid matter in suspension, and particularly applicable for use in the manufacture of paper, are provided with a conical casing A fitted with a fixed seat G provided with ports, the combined area of which is greater than that of the supply pipe E. The valve member I is arranged on the inlet side of the valve, so that the settling sediment seals the valve when closed, and is actuated by a handle J or by a lever arranged in the side of the casing having a pin-and-slot connexion with the valve member. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 3345/74, 6703/95, 17,576/96, 5552/99, and 13,215/04.
