Ball and float valves; packing.-In a floatoperated valve, the following separately-known elements are used in combination : a removable screwed seat b, a long outlet tube c reaching to the bottom of the cistern for silencing the outflow, and a second valve washer g adapted to seat on the rim h of the casing to form a tight packing-joint round the spindle when the valve is fully open. The removable seat is of the kind described in Specification 24,220/12.
