Abstract

19,890. Rohrbach, A. Oct. 3, 1904, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Lift valves; actuating -valves.-The lift valve 9,' Fig. 1, is opened by fluid pressure in the chamber 12 above the piston 7 which is connected to the valve. The chamber 12 is in communication with the inlet 2 through a passage 13 and lift valve 14, the valve 14 being opened, to cause the opening of the main valve, by pressing down the push-wedge 17. On release of the push 17, the valve 14 closes by fluid pressure, thus cutting off the chamber 12, which is discharged by the screw-controlled passage 18, the main valve 9 being allowed to close by the pressure of the inlet fluid.
