Abstract
24,748. Poate, F. W., and Fawcett, Preston, & Co. Oct. 28. Lift valves; actuating valves.-A lift valve f for use with hydraulic presses is opened by fluid pressure underneath it when a " pilot " valve d is opened to release the pressure above a piston e. The area of the valve f is approximately half that of the piston e. On the closing of the " pilot " valve, the valve b closes by the accumulation of pressure through the passage i as soon as the pressure below the valve falls. Specifications 1192/94 and 8179/95 are referred to.
