Abstract

1,026,786. Urine bottles. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, and H. A. DOHERTY. June 7, 1962 [June 7, 1961], No. 22164/62. Divided out of 1,021,831. Heading A4N. Disposable male urine bottles, made of water-proofed card or thin guage polythene, are stored in a flat folded condition from which they are designed to be erected into a container having a narrow orifice or neck. As shown, a folded bottle is made in the form of a flat tube with stitched, glued or heat-sealed seams, 31 and crease lines 32. On erection, the top wall 35 is curved round and edges 33 joined together by adhesive applied to flap 34. Alternatively, flap 34 may be omitted and the joint made by self-adhesive latex applied to the inner faces of the container. In another similar construction (Figs. 1-5, not shown), having a rectangular base and a flat front wall beneath the orifice, the wall is formed by over-lapping folds which are secured by stapling or glueing.
