Abstract

1,019,386. Urine bottles. REED PAPER GROUP Ltd. Nov. 29, 1963 [Nov. 29, 1962], No. 45240/62. Heading A4N. A collapsibe disposable urine bottle is formed by folding a cardboard blank, having a polyethylene layer laminated to one side, about lines 4 to unite margins 6 and by bending side 18 into a curve about line 16 to unite margins 12 and 30. The margins 6, 12 and 30 are heat sealed or secured by adhesive. The assembled bottle can be folded flat by folding the end face 18 inwardly, so that it is externally concave about fold line 25 and base 10 outwardly, so that it is externally convex about fold lines 24 and 28. On erecting the bottle, the area between the lines 22, 28 and 30 springs out from its folded concave to its erected convex configuration. Flap 20 is folded about line 22 to present a folded edge along the base line of the triangular opening which it forms with the truncated ends of sides 8.
