Abstract

1,238,647. Gramophone-record envelopes. MOLINS Ltd. 31 July, 1968 [2 Aug., 1967], No. 35516/67. Heading B6A. A gramophone record envelope 10, Fig. 4, is made from a foldable blank 11 defining a front wall, spines 16 and a closure flap 19 and a planar blank 22 defining a rear wall and bonded adhesively to overlapping portions 17 which are reinforced by three reinforcing portions 18A, 18B, 18C. The blank 11, Fig. 1, has three side flaps 12, 13, 14 and a closure flap 15 each articulated to a respective spine 16 along a fold line 16 the side flaps 12 to 14 being scored along parallel lines 16A, 17A, 18D and 18E to define an overlapping portion 17 and a reinforcing portion 18 which is subdivided by the score lines 17A, 18D and 18E into the individual reinforcing portions 18A, 18B and 18C. To erect the blank the reinforcing portion 18 is folded through 180 degrees about the score line 17A such that the reinforcing portions 18A, 18B and 18C coincide with the overlapping portion 17, spine 16 and marginal edge of the blank 11, the erection being completed on successive folding of the blank through 90 degrees about the coincident score lines 16A, 18E and 16B, 18D to produce the configuration shown in Fig. 4. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,119,823.
