This invention relates to'a collapsibledisposable container-and more particularly -to a disposable bottle for receiving the urine of bed-v ridden patients.

The primary object of this invention is to improve the sanitary conditions under which patients are cared for and'to-avoid the labor attendent upon the cleaning and sterilizing of'bottles of the type to which this invention relates.

Another object is to providemaximum capacity in the bottle and-at the same time avoid the spilling of the contents thereof.

Still another object is to enable a bedridden patient to care forhisneeds without requiring the services of an attendant. r

A still further object is to "enable a traveller to carry a supply of such bottles and retain them in a condition for instant use.

The above and other objects may be attained ment of panels, extensions, and flaps which when extended form a hollow container with no raw edges to injure the anatomy of the user.

Referring to the drawings in'detail this improved container is made from a blank designated generally I I! which comprises a back panel I2 having formed at one end a sealing flap l4 which folds over the side members I6 and, I8 which are folded along fold-lines and 22 respectively to form the front panel of the container generally designated I 0.

When the side members I6 and I8 have been so folded, their adjacent edges are arranged in overlapping relation and sealed at 26, and the flap I4 is then turned upwardly along fold-line 28 to overlie the bottom edge of the front panel IE and is sealed thereto with any suitable wa- 5Claims. As illustrated in Figure 1, the major portion of each lateral extension 38 of the back panel 28 lies within a rectangle defining the back "of" the container while a very small portion of each extension occupies a small area of the members I6 and 18. On the other hand, the area of the blank occupied by the extensions 46 is about equally divided between the rectangle defining; the back of the device and the members [6' and I8 respectively.

A flap 54 is carried by each of the side members 16 and IB between the extensions 46 and the outer edges of the members l6 and i8, and these flaps are adapted to be folded back against the inner side of the front panel of the container so as to avoid'the production of raw edges which might serve to injure 'the'user.

With theflcontainers assembled as illustrated, they may be stored fia't and ready for instant use; When it is desired to place such a'container into service, opposite side edges of the container are squeezed together and the back wall 29 is moved upwardly to stand at an angle to the back panel This means that the end panel 29 moves relative to the back panel l2 along its fold line 30, thus causing the extensions 38 to exert pull on the extensions 46 and cause the

Inasmuch as it is my purpose to construct the container of an inexpensive, non-metallic; semi rigid, sheet material such as paper impregnated with paraffin or the like, it is evident that aftei use and the contents has been disposed ofyth'" container itself may likewise be;disposed of by; incineration or otherwise. Owing to the fact that the containers until ready for use "remain in a flattened condition, .it is obvious that large quantities may be storedin' a minimum amount of spaceand ready for instant use.

While in the foregoing there has been shown anddescribed the preferred form of this invention, it .is to be understood thatminor changes inthedetails of construction, combination and arrangement of'parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed.
