Abstract

1,023,108. Ignition systems. BENDIX CORPORATION. Aug. 4, 1964 [Aug. 13, 1963], No. 31554/64. Heading F1B. [Also in Division H2] An ignition timer-distributer has a pulse generator comprising trigger wheel 36 cooperating with stator assembly 31 which is retained in a hollow loss projecting radially from casing 10. The stator assembly comprises a permanent magnet with a coil 31 wound on it and a polepiece 2, as described in Specification 1,005,090, and the trigger wheel has polepieces 39 produced by twisting the ends of the flat spokes of the wheel through 90 degrees. Wheel 36 is mounted on shaft 14 which is journalled in casing 10 by ball bearing 15 and a sleeve bearing at 12. Removably mounted at the upper end of shaft 14 is a normal distributer rotor 24 which co-operates with terminals 25 in cap 26.
