988,209. Dynamo-electric machines. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. Oct. 22, 1963 [Oct. 23, 1962], No. 41622/63. Heading H2A. A casing for a dynamo-electric machine particularly a D.C. generator for motor vehicles, comprises a housing 10 closed at one end by a sheet metal casing 17 formed with a bearing housing 18 to receive the rotor shaft 13 and in which a substantially rectangular portion 19, containing the bearing housing 18 is stamped out of the end of the casing rotated through substantially 90 degrees and fixed to the remaining portion of the casing. The stampedout section 19 carries two holders (not shown) of brushes 24 which are accessible through slots 25.
