Abstract
An apertured body, e.g. a rotary centrifugal spinner for glass, is made of an alloy having the following percentage composition: .Ni.55 - 72 .Cr.5 - 15 .Co.0 - 15 .Ti.2 - 8 .Al.2 - 8 .Fe.up to 3 .C.up to 0.2 .Mo.0 - 5 .V.0 - 5 .Zr.0 - 1 .B.0 - 0.02 The Co may be replaced by 0 - 11% W and 0 - 4% TaALSO:An apertured body, e.g. a rotary centrifugal spinner for glass, is made of an alloy having the following percentage composition:-Ni 55-72, Cr 5-15, Co 0-15, Ti 2-8, Al 2-8, Fe up to 3, C up to 0.2, Mo 0-5, V 0-5, Zr 0-1, B 0-0.02. The Co may be replaced by 0-11% W and 0-4% Ta. The body may be coated with Cr by a diffusion treatment.
