Abstract

A corrosion resistant alloy, hardenable by precipitation heat-treatment, has the following composition: Co 20-45 per cent; Ni 20-35 per cent; Fe 10-25 per cent; Ti 1-5 per cent; Nb 1-5 per cent; the total of Nb and Ti being 3-7 per cent. The alloy may also contain W up to 10 per cent, Mo up to 10 per cent, Cr up to 20 per cent, Ta up to 5 per cent and Mn up to 3 per cent.
