Abstract

Heat resistant low alloyed steels have the following composition: 0.1-10 per cent Cr, 0.1-0.5 per cent Co, 0.05-0.3 per cent Ni, the remainder Fe and impurities. The alloys may include 0.05-5 per cent Cu or 0.05-6 per cent of each of the elements Si, Mn, Mo, V, W, Ti, Nb, Ta and Al which do not exceed 15 per cent in total. The alloys are heat treated at 840-1100 DEG C., preferably to obtain a bainte transformation, cooled and reheated to 550-750 DEG C. for such a time that a satisfactory hardness is obtained. Specification 696,883 is reffered to.
