Description

The present invention relates to an insulating panel which can serve as a construction module for residential buildings.

The insulating panels used hitherto for construction consist of a single layer of insulation sandwiched between two reinforcing plates constituting the two outer walls of the panel. Such panels do not have the qualities of resistance, ventilation and insulation which are necessary to constitute the walls of a dwelling house.

The insulating panels according to the present invention make it possible to overcome these drawbacks.

They are characterized by the fact that they comprise two reinforcing walls, one of which is surrounded by empty spaces on each of its faces, and the other of which serves as a support on each of its faces with two layers of insulating material different.

One of the walls of these panels has, on its external face, cleats serving as support for a metal frame and, on its internal face, crosspieces connecting it to the other reinforcing wall. The crosspieces, which complete the framework of the panel, have a width greater than the thickness of the layer of insulating material fixed on the internal face of this other wall, so as to provide an empty space inside the panel.

The metal reinforcement is a light reinforcement intended to receive on the spot a hydraulic coating, which will constitute the external face subjected to the bad weather.

The other reinforcing wall comprises, fixed on its internal face, for example by gluing, a layer of a first insulating material, such as glass wool, having a thickness less than the distance separating the two reinforcing walls and , on its outer face, a layer of a second insulating material, different from the first, for example of expanded polystyrene.

This second layer of insulating material is optionally supplemented by a vapor barrier and a plasterboard constituting the interior finishing coating of the panel.

The reinforcement wall surrounded by empty spaces has ventilation windows, generally located at the top and bottom of the panels.

Thanks to such a structure, the panels according to the invention have a set of qualities which it had not been possible to combine until now and which are particularly suitable for the construction of individual dwellings. Indeed, their frame is sufficiently solid to allow the realization of panels having a height which can go up to 2m60 high and intended to directly support the roof. The maintenance of empty spaces on either side of one of the panel walls ensures ventilation of the entire space located inside the panel and which is partially filled with an insulating material, which guarantees the longevity of the The presence of two different insulating layers separated by a wall allows perfect insulation, both thermal and sound, which is essential in a modern home. Finally, the construction of these panels is particularly economical and makes it possible to give them an excellent finish appearance, both on the outside side subjected to the weather, after application of a hydraulic binder, and on the inside of the house to be built.

The present invention will now be described in more detail with the aid of a particular embodiment illustrated in the attached drawings:
- Figure 1 shows a vertical section of a panel according to the invention mounted in a detached house.

FIG. 2 represents, in vertical section, the bottom of a panel according to the invention mounted on a concrete slab,
and Figure 3 shows, in horizontal section, the connection at right angles to two panels according to the invention forming the corner of a house.

The reference numbers are the same to designate identical elements on the different s wear.

The panel (1) represented in FIGS. 1-3 comprises, going from the left towards the dodo, a metal frame (2), an empty space '3) delimited by battens (4), a first reinforcement wall (5 ), a new empty space (6) delimited by crosspieces (7) and partially filled with a first layer of glass wool insulation (8), a second reinforcement wall (9), a second layer of insulation in polystyrene (10), a vapor barrier (11) and a plasterboard (12).

The metal frame (2) is a grid which is used for hanging an external coating (13) of the hydraulic binder type executed on site.

The walls (5) and (9) may respectively be constituted by a plywood plate 7 mm thick comprising ventilation windows (14) and by an agglomerate plate approximately 12 mm thick.

The crosspieces (7) and cleats (4) in carpentry wood have widths of the order of about 100 mm and about 15 mm respectively.

The glass wool layer (8), which is bonded to the internal face of the wall (9) has a thickness of approximately 75 mm and the polystyrene layer (10) a thickness of the order of 30 mm.

The vapor barrier (11) may consist of a sheet of bituminous paper or of aluminum foil and the thickness of the plasterboard (12) is approximately 10 mm.

It will be noted that one of the walls (5) of the panel can extend downward, either with the crosspiece (7) as shown in FIG. 1, or without the crosspiece (7) as shown in FIG. 2, unlike the other wall (9), to allow the bottom of the panel to be fixed to a window frame (15) or a low fixing rail (16) placed on a concrete slab (17) and to facilitate installation of an aeration tunnel (18) ensuring the connection between the empty space (3) and the outside. This empty space 3) can communicate directly with the underside of the roof of a dwelling, as indicated by the arrow located at the top of FIG. 1, to provide ventilation in the attic.

The polystyrene layer (10), the vapor barrier (11) and the plasterboard (12) can constitute a sub-assembly which is attached to the framework formed by the other elements (4) to (9). to form the panel according to the invention. Thus, a shift between the lower ends of the subassemblies (10) to (12) and (4) to (9) makes it possible to delimit a housing (21) for the passage of electrical sheaths (22), which can be hidden behind a plinth (23) as shown in FIG. 2.

As shown in Fig. 3, the corner junction of two panels according to the invention (1) and (19) is carried out using a wooden post (20) which is embedded in the thickness of the two walls (5 ) and (9) of the two panels, so as to allow an extension of the space (3) and of the frame (2) at the sharp angle of the post.

It goes without saying that the present embodiment has only an illustrative purpose and cannot. in no way limit the present invention.
