Abstract

a. Appareil pour mesurer le contour de certains objets. b. Il comprend : un plateau tournant sur lequel l'objet est placé; un détecteur pour déterminer l'angle de rotation du plateau et pour produire un signal d'angle de rotation; un détecteur de position de bord incluant un organe projetant un faisceau lumineux parallèle sur l'objet et un organe récepteur pour recevoir la partie du faisceau lumineux parallèle qui n'a pas été interceptée et coupée par l'objet afin de produire un signal de position de bord, les organes de projection et de réception étant disposés de part et autre du plateau tournant; une mémoire pour conserver un signal de position de bord normal ou de référence qui correspond à un objet normal ayant un contour donné; et un circuit opérationnel pour recevoir le signal de position de bord de référence et pour produire un signal qui représente l'écart du contour de l'objet mesuré par rapport à un objet normal. c. S'applique à la détermination précise du contour de certains objets fragiles, tels que de minces nids d'abeilles en céramique, sans contact physique avec ceux-ci.
