Abstract

L'invention a pour objet la préparation de particules sphéroïdales d'alumine, caractérisée en ce qu'on mélange un hydrosol acide d'alumine avec un précurseur d'ammoniac au-dessous de la température de gélification; on disperse les gouttelettes de ce mélange dans un bain d'huile chaude à une température de décomposition du précurseur et de gélification de l'hydrosol; on fait vieillir les sphères d'hydrogel dans le bain sous pression atmosphérique à 95-105 degrés C jusquà obtention d'un pH de 6 à 7,5 pour les sphères; on remplace le bain d'huile par une solution ammoniacale aqueuse tamponnée par un sel d'ammonium et on maintient les sphères dans cette solution pendant 10 minutes au moins; on fait vieillir les sphères dans une solution ammoniacale aqueuse pendant 1 à 24 heures; on lave à l'eau, on sèche et on calcine. Les particules obtenues sont utilisables comme support de catalyseur de conversion d'hydrocarbures.
