Abstract

Procédé de production d'acier à forte teneur en azote par introduction d'azote pendant la dernière partie de l'opération de décarburation. Il consiste à introduire l'azote en quantité déterminée, de manière à produire une réaction intense entre cet azote et le métal en fusion, à raffiner le métal pour que sa teneur finale en manganèse soit faible, et à maintenir une pression partielle d'azote dans l'espace libre du récipient contenant le bain de fusion. Domaine d'application : production d'aciers à forte teneur en azote.
