Abstract
The track consists of a groove in the centre of the mast or spar (1). The groove is large enough to receive a halyard (6) and two luff ropes (7, 9) which form part of the sails (8, 10). Normally the groove will only hold one sail but the second rope can be rove for sail changing. Access to the groove is obtained by a narrow throat at the trailing edge of the spart. The spar is formed from plastic material and has an aerofoil section.
