Garniture d'étanchéité tressée, comprenant plusieurs torons d'âme extérieurs, s'étendant axialement par rapport à la garniture, et plusieurs tresses autour de ces torons dame. Les torons de tresse 16 sont entrelacés autour des torons d'âme extérieurs 14, chaque toron 16 s'étendant sur un toron d'âme extérieur 14 à la surface de la garniture, sous le toron d'âme extérieur 14 à la surface de la garniture, sous le toron d'âme extérieur immédiatement voisin, au voisinage immédiat du toron d'âme central 12, sur le toron d'âme extérieur 14 immédiatement voisin, et ainsi de suite sur toute la longueur de la garniture 10. Application: garniture de presse-étoupe.
