Abstract

Perfectionnements aux dispositifs supportant les empoises dans les laminoirs. Selon l'invention, un laminoir est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend un organe de transmission de poussée entre ladite empoise et lesdits moyens pour imprimer la force de laminage, ledit organe de poussée comportant, à l'une de ses extrémités, une surface sphérique qui est au contact d'une surface sphérique correspondante, formée à l'une des extrémités desdits moyens pour imprimer ladite force de laminage, lesdites surfaces sphériques coopérantes ayant des rayons différents afin de produire un contact ponctuel entre ledit organe de poussée et lesdits moyens pour imprimer ladite force de laminage, ce qui fait que lesdites empoises peuvent être basculées avec un minimum de résistance de friction; des moyens pour retenir ledit organe de poussée et lesdits moyens imprimant ladite force de laminage dans une relation de coopération; et, des moyens pour maintenir ledit organe de poussée solidaire de ladite empoise. Application, d'une manière générale, à la sidérurgie et plus particulièrement aux installations de laminage.
