PURPOSE:To easily change a cross-angle of a roll in the course of rolling, and to elevate accuracy in the width direction of a strip, by constituting a titled mill so that friction resistance between a roll chock and an equalizer beam in the housing can be reduced. CONSTITUTION:Between roll chocks 3b, 3b' and equalizer beams 6, 6', friction resistance reducting devices 7, 7' which have used, for instance, a rodlike roller and an oil pressure type plane bearing are provided. In this state, rolling reaction force generated in work rolls 2a, 2a' in the course of rolling is supported in the end by a housing 1 through a lower backup roll 2b', the roll chock 3b', the device 7', and the equalizer beam 6'. In this way, since reistance is small, chocks 3a, 3b, 3a' and 3b' are easily moved in the horizontal direction.
