Abstract

Ce procédé est du type de ceux permettant de modifier la surface d'une pièce moulée en combinaison avec la coulée. Il est caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à appliquer sur la surface d'un moule ou d'un noyau de moulage 1, ou dans un évidement convenable 5 de la surface de ce moule ou noyau, une matière 6 capable de modifier les caractéristiques de surface d'une pièce moulée produite dans le moule ou avec le noyau, et à soumettre au vide ladite matière 6 sur le côté opposé à celui en contact avec le métal fondu versé dans le moule ou autour du noyau, le vide étant maintenu pendant la coulée. Ce procédé permet d'éliminer de façon simple et peu coûteuse les inclusions de laitier et les soufflures qui constituent les inconvénients des procédés connus comparables.
