Abstract

The neck opening carries a valve seat (100) on top of which is placed a sealing disc (13) held down on the seat by a ball (113). A locating piece (104) for the ball is held down on the edge of the seat. It has a conical top part (107) and a number of thick wall extensions (112) with gaps (111) between them through which liquid flows outwards. The thick parts locate the piece inside the neck of the bottle. When the bottle is tipped the disc and ball separate from the seat and liquid can flow through the gaps and past the conical part to reach the outlet.
