Abstract

Drinking cup for a container for liquid material has a valve seating formed by the upper edg of a peripheral collar, a valve holder fitting under the collar in a sealed manner, and a shell-shaped elastic valve formed peripherally as one unit with the valve holder, and supporting an operating projection on the inside of the shell. The valve holder has a cavity acting as drinking opening, and an annular channel is formed between the valve seating, the valve and the valve holder is perforated on each side of the drinking opening by a cross wall forming a unit with the valve holder and the valve. Provides an excellent seal for the container in its normal position. Does not drip after a drinking operation.
