Abstract

The blank has an end panel (2) joined to the base panel (1) by a fold line (4) containing a cut out (10). The end panel has a pair of side flaps (11) and an outer flap (6). The latter is folded over the end panel and an outer projection (9) is fitted in the cut-out to lock the end wall and give a double thickness. The side flaps are folded over the wall panels (3) and fixed by gluing or stapling. The side flaps have a generally Z-shaped form and there is an indented fold line between the end panel and outer flap so that corner projections (16) are formed, these projections engaging in corner recesses of a carton stacked above.
